Eremos began on a trail during one of the hardest seasons of my life.
I went into the wilderness looking for direction. Instead, God used the quiet to reveal things I had been avoiding and truths I needed to hear.
That experience became the foundation of Eremos.
Today, Eremos exists to help others step away from the distractions of everyday life and experience the wilderness as a place of encounter, reflection, and growth. Whether through a day hike, a backpacking trip, or simply time spent walking beneath the trees, the wilderness creates space for us to hear God more clearly.
The mountains may not change you.
But God often does some of His best work there.

Eremos began with a simple idea born on a trail during a difficult season of life: sometimes the clearest place to hear God is in the wilderness.
Today, Eremos guides individuals and small groups into the mountains of Southern Appalachia for experiences that combine adventure, reflection, community, and faith. We believe the wilderness offers something increasingly rare—a chance to slow down, leave distractions behind, and make room for God to speak.
